Mayor Zhelyo Vardunski today visited the renovated and already repaired yard of the kindergarten "Sun" in Kameno. During the meeting with the director Slavina Tosheva and the contractor of the site, the mayor expressed his satisfaction with the planned activities of the first stage of the renovation, which were completed within the scheduled time. The project, which started in October 2024, is funded by a grant from LUKOIL Neftohim Burgas.

"I am satisfied with what I see. But the most important thing is that the children, their parents and the collective of those working here are happy," said Mayor Zhelyo Vardunsky.

During the renovation work, the yard pavements were completely replaced with shock-absorbing soft pavements for the safety of the children. The new space has been fitted with new combined children's facilities, paths with new lighting and landscaping.

"Our efforts in terms of building infrastructure for children and adolescents will not stop there. We are currently working on a project to build a community centre in the old school building in Kameno. It will be designed for children and adolescents, as well as for children with special needs," said Mayor Zhelyo Vardunski.

The director Slavina Tosheva expressed her gratitude to the Municipality of Kameno, the management of LUKOIL Neftohim Burgas on behalf of herself and her colleagues for the complete transformation of the children's play area.

With a signed contract for a grant donation from LUKOIL Neftohim Burgas for 2025, the second stage of the complete renovation of the yard space will be completed in May.
